SIKU platform is a digital tool for data collection, management, and knowledge mobilization, specifically designed to support Indigenous knowledge systems and data sovereignty.
Institut nordique du Québec invites you to discover this platform through a free online demonstration workshop highlighting its main features. The workshop will be led by Candice Sudlovenick, Outreach Programs Manager at the Arctic Eider Society.
SIKU enables researchers to work closely with local Indigenous individuals and communities to carry out data collection that is respectful, ethical, and adapted to cultural realities. In doing so, SIKU fosters knowledge bridging and the co-creation of knowledge, particularly within northern and Arctic research projects.
The platform can also be used to support Indigenous partners in collecting and managing their own data for community-based, territorial, or scientific projects.
Are you interested in integrating collaborative and respectful practices into your research projects?
Would you like to learn more about data sovereignty and knowledge co-creation?
Join the SIKU workshop and discover how this platform can enrich your research practices and partnerships.
Please note that the workshop will be conducted in English.
