Inuit history, culture and contemporary realities
Accessible online at any time, this 12-hour training course provides an introduction to the history and political, social and cultural uniqueness of the Inuit of Nunavik. (Arctic Quebec). Through the testimonies of Nunavimmiut and the many resources they have produced, you will better understand their perspectives and issues.
Whether it is to complement your academic program, enrich your personal knowledge, or adapt your professional practices, this training will allow you to develop a more respectful relationship with Inuit societies.

Each year, INQ offers to reimburse 4 students for more than half the cost of this training.
To be admissible, you must be studying at one of the 15 universities affiliated with INQ and be working on a project with a northern theme.

This training is a realization of the Sentinel North Research Chair on relations with Inuit Societies held by Caroline Hervé, Associate Professor at the Department of Anthropology at Université Laval. The development of the training was coordinated by Marie-Ève Marchand, with the support of the students Alice Miot-Bruneau and Isabelle Lemay.
