The Idéation program, organized by Entrepreneuriat ULaval, offers you three immersive days to build innovation skills and move from a concrete problem to a first solution idea. (October 21, 22, and 29, 2026)

Who is the program for?
The program is for students enrolled in one of the 16 member universities of Institut nordique du Québec who want to explore entrepreneurship as a new way to showcase their knowledge, research, or expertise.
No business idea is required to participate.
Whether you are already interested in entrepreneurship or simply curious to discover how research and innovation can help solve concrete problems, the program will allow you to experience the process in a collaborative environment.
Three days to go from problem to solution (October 21, 22, and 29, 2026)
Over the course of the three days, you will work in teams on challenges related notably to oceanography and northern environments.
Through practical workshops, exercises, and teamwork sessions, you will be guided to:
- Discover the basics of scientific entrepreneurship;
- Identify a promising issue;
- Understand the needs of stakeholders;
- Imagine and test a first solution;
- Develop your pitch and present your project.
The goal is not to arrive with a fully defined business, but rather to learn how to look at a problem from an entrepreneurial perspective and test the potential of a solution.
An action oriented program
You will not spend three days listening to presentations.
The program is designed around experimentation, collaboration, and teamwork. You will use approaches inspired by design thinking, customer discovery, and pretotyping to quickly advance your thinking.
At the end of the program, each team will present the project developed during the sessions.
You will also leave with a better understanding of the resources available to continue your journey and, if you wish, develop your idea beyond the program.

- October 21, 2026 Discover scientific entrepreneurship, identify problems, and form teams.
- October 22, 2026 Understand stakeholder needs, refine the problem, and explore solution paths.
- October 29, 2026 Develop your project, prepare your pitch, and present your solution.
