People's choice award | My Northern Project

Congratulations to 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗹𝗶𝗲 𝗪𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿 who won the people's choice award in the My Northern Project science popularisation competition at Institut nordique du Québec's annual Symposium.

Her presentation L’Habiter inuit : de mots, d’images et d’architecture captivated the audience. This victory secures her a place in the international final of the competition, to be held in Iceland in October, as well as a $250 bursary. This international final is organized by Institut nordique du Québec and the UArctic network with the support of the Ministère des Relations internationales et de la Francophonie (MRIF) and the Nordic Council of Ministers.

Charlie Wenger recently completed her Professional Master of Architecture degree at Université Laval and is enrolled in  the Master of Architectural Science program at the same institution. Her research project will culminate in a dissertation on the relationship between Inuit dwellings and Inuit works of fiction. For the past four years, she has been working with the Living in Northern Quebec research group, with whom she had the opportunity to visit the village of Kangiqsualujjuaq, where her love for the North and the territory was solidified.
